I can say that I really love this new place in Avondale! After 2 visits I have enjoyed everything that I've tried. The dishes have been different and so full of flavor. Fried green tomatoes with pork belly and pimento cheese work so well together for a great twist on a common appetizer.
Eddie hooked me up with a Vanilla Old Fashioned. Smooth, citrus deliciousness. Halley suggested the Fried Green Tomatoes! Holy tastiness. BBQ pork belly and tomato chutney. So enjoyed. The house made pimento cheese was the finishing touch. Get yourself some.
Service was fast and friendly and the best I have had in awhile. Tyler waa phenomenal!! To start I ordered the kung pao cauliflower. The serving size itself was big enough for a meal! The kung pao sauce was the perfect amount of zest and spice.
Possibly the best brunch I've had in Birmingham. The steak and potato breakfast burrito was HUGE. When *I* can't finish an entree, you know the portions are outrageous. The loaded tots are creamy and smoky and phenomenal.
This was our first visit to Avondale Common House Distillery. We are from New Orleans, the home of "great food". Avondale Common House was excellent!! I ordered the assorted veggie plate with grilled chicken. It was delicious.

I still can't believe the deliciousness I experienced! I ordered kung pao cauliflower to start and my date ordered fried green tomatoes that came topped with pimento cheese. I know it's nearly against all rules of common decency in the south to not like pimento cheese, but y'all, I hate it! At least, I thought I did...
Southern BLT, Spring Street Shrimp Tacos and Pork Belly, Egg and Cheese...couldn't go wrong with this awesome menu! We swung into town and headed straight over to try out the Common House! We were not disappointed. Staff was friendly, atmosphere was awesome, food was delicious, food came fast! I was truly impressed!
